On This Day…
Pretty uneventful yesterday although I did finally get my inventory turns model done yesterday…yawn! I haven’t struggled so much with getting data out and modelled for a long time.
We are now set to get some heating fitted on w/c 9th March after our ‘regular’ plumber agreed to match the prices we had received so far. I am just a little concerned that the word ‘regular’ is a bit of a misnomer. As an example, he turned up yesterday to look at the job in detail and also to move the gas pipe allowing the cooker to be slotted in. He did the former, but had left his gas bottle and blow torch at the job he was at the previous day, so he’s having to come back today to get that done. I will ring him every day I think to remind him of his commitment to start on 9th and finish in that week. It sure will be nice to have heating, although with our usual family rule of no heating after 1st April, it could be short lived, although I will certainly break that rule to get this place warmed through and enable us to get some decorating done and our furniture spread out a a little.
It is sister, Merilyn’s Birthday today. Again, as a lady there is no giving away her age, but Happy Birthday sis!
Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday) yesterday. I do love that once a year day. It was thick ones for me with lashings of Golden Syrup…lovely. Reminds me so much of IHOP which I will miss so much as this year’s farewell ‘dinner’ with my friends from the Excel MVP’s. Have one for me guys (and gals). Rightly, I should fast for 40 days and 40 nights now but….nah!
Finally, I was sent some pictures of a few day old new Blakeley arrival, Macey, yesterday, so here she is being held by first time grandmother, Carole on her first night in the World, ah…
