On This Day…
Not much happened since I posted so late last night, but it’s time to get back on track this morning. It is Monday after all
I forgot to mention that Lindsay had called late on Saturday night. She had moved onto Bratislava a day early being singularly unimpressed with Vienna. She is now there for a few days before moving on to Budapest and then Sarajevo. With Emma back it seems like forever since they left and they still have nearly two weeks left!
The ex-owner of this house is back from Pakistan. He arrived back on Saturday and stayed with one of his sons in London. I got a call from him on Sunday night saying he wanted to come and collect stuff from the big shed at the bottom of the garden. It means I will need to pop home and see him as he wants to just take the car for now. I need him to be taking the rest of the stuff as soon as possible. Preferably before the weekend. Technically he can take the snooker table and generator as they weren’t in the sale, but if he does I want to be sure it will all be put back as it should be. I know it seems like a strange situation, but at the time it ‘lubricated’ the sale which was what we wanted. He was reticent for me to be here as I think he wanted to get the car and run for now, but I need to know when the rest of the action is happening. We’ll see. Fortunately it is not far from work so should be able to get it done in a lunch break time scale.
Must get off as I need to get a full day in, lots of stuff to do and people to see.
On this day in history and last year…
