On This Day…
It’s Monday and “one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind…” No, it’s not just that I’m over my hangover. It is 40 years ago today that man first walked on the moon and worryingly, I remember it quite well.
On the hangover front, I have recovered although it was quite a long road. I’m not sure it was a real hangover, I was just soooo tired and after taking a ton of the rubbish down the side of the house to the tip and burning all the old doors and brambles on the bonfire I could hardly stay awake and had to take to my bed for a two hour nap. That’s a little frustrating, as I wanted to get the rest of the whole tiles on the wall last night but better I be on song for work this morning as it’s another fairly busy week, particularly as we get closer to the day and then two weeks away.
New Saints Manager, Alan Pardew got a great reception at St Mary’s for the friendly against Ajax on Saturday. He is talking the right talk at the minute, but let’s see if he walks the right walk from the friendly on next Saturday right through to the opening few games. He needs to get some points under his belt quickly if we are to get enough confidence to overturn the 10 point deduction quickly and get on an even keel with the rest of the league. It will be my first opportunity to see them live as I intend to go to next week’s game.
Hoping to make a list of jobs tonight for us to get done before August 1st. My main task is the en-suite, but there is a ton of other little things that Jo wants to have a go at, but they may need me to do something before that. Obviously the girls are now here too, so maybe they can chip in. We’ll see.
On this day in history and last year…
