On This Day…
It’s Tuesday already and I have pretty overstretched myself at work with quite a few long meetings, some of which I need to prepare for. It’s going to be a push at best.
Was a little concerned about the bath we are fitting in the en-suite. So much so the guy who sold it me came around last night and he too is not sure it is, as it should be. He will contact the manufacturer and see if they can get someone around. He is concerned of course as they have put a few hundred pounds of extra whirlpool gear on the bath itself which would be wasted if they have to replace it. I suspect they will just tack a little more fibreglass on the outside in truth and that will be fine.
Got all the full tiles on the en-suite wall last night. Hoping to get the cuts done tonight, all 25 of them and that will be the walls done. I then need to get a bath filler, mirror and curtains before I can get it finished. The latter is not crucial, but the first two will stop me from doing anything very shortly.
Jo has started on some other tasks in her afternoon slot. I was chuffed to bits she got the mower out and cut the patch around the pond that I didn’t get to on Saturday morning. She had also done the brambles on the high ground, behind the wall. She is sometimes so funny with stuff that winds her up. Those brambles were of no real concern to me, they were not particularly dense, were away from the house or any area we particularly want to reclaim, like the chicken coop, but they were annoying her as she could see them out through the kitchen window while washing up. Expect to see the rubble pile and remains of bonfires moved in the next few days, as I know they wind her up. In fact what I should have done is left the ‘dead trailer’ by the bonfire piles. I bet she’d have filled it and could then have towed it down the bottom where we need to level a little ground in the copse.
I am fortunate to be negotiating with an Australian Company at the minute for some product. I say fortunate, as for the first time in about 80 years we have won a cricket test match against the Australians at the home of cricket, Lords. I have already had an email from them this morning when I got up, but it is the usual sarcasm about letting us win as we were whinging so much.
On this day in history and last year…
