On This Day…
Woke to my usual news bulletin on Wave 105 this morning and it was a list of stuff that was either Government abject failures or schemes that are just a nonsense.
First it was that someone in the Government is admitting that we are sending soldiers into battle without enough helicopters. Then it was that the drive to combat knife crime has seen an increase. In between that there was another breakthrough by some university against cancer. It seems someone discovers stuff everyday, but we still seem to be no better at saving people with it, or maybe I’m just not in the know. The last one though, that beggars belief is that schools are now to reward parents for good child attendance. Is it not law that you have to send your child to school between the ages of five and sixteen? What are they going to reward parents with? A curry! What? The World has officially this morning gone mad.
Found this on you tube pretty uplifting. It was from Saturday’s friendly when our new owner and manager were announced to the crowd. They had put together a little film of what Saints are about, puts a lump in your throat.
Got most of the cuts hung on the wall. Well, in truth half of them hung, but all of them cut. I was stalled by the one wall angle cuts really having to set before hanging the others, so I switched to drilling the unit for the sinks, screwing it to the wall and making the tap holes. Ordered the bath filler yesterday, so that should be here today with luck. It’s just the mirror then and we’ll be set to finish.
On this day in history and last year…

Got around to fixing this too last night, but with it raining, it doesn’t feel worth it
Mood meter =
It’s hump day again

Nick, how come the Saints are sponsored by Draper Tools? Isn’t that your competition?

No they supply us with a few bits. Have a soft spot for them too as I worked there for about 19 years
