On This Day…

November 02, 2009 By: Nick Hodge Category: Home and Garden, On This Day

Yesterday’s weather blast came and went, but not without incident. Drove the car at just after midday to the end of the drive and another tree had fallen and this time right across the drive. Fortunately it was one from next door although that didn’t help my right of passage. Terry was soon on the scene with chainsaw and after about 10 minutes cutting we could at least get in and out. There will be some other clearing up I ma sure as there are random limbs ranging from very small to significant strewn around the plot.

Forgot to mention on Sunday that there had been a body found in the local woods down the road. I had seen a police car standing guard with blue and white tape cordoning off a large area with TV crews filming down a small lane near where the kebab van sits at night. turns out this morning it was a woman in her fifties, but they are saying the death was not suspicious but why she died there was…whatever that means?

Back to work this morning and it’s a week that ends with me off to the US for a few days. It’s a little strange as I have no real need to be going but with the business I have been doing with someone in Australia, it’s sort of a halfway point to meet. A little like I used to meet Pymmie when we were both reps, halfway on the motorway bridge at Swindon to swap samples ;-)

Got a price in from a father and son team for the plastering and this quote is far more acceptable. If we spend the money we should be in a position to get the place decorated and be ready to get floor coverings down and voila, inside finished.

On this day in history and last year… It’s a year since we first viewed this place.

Weather = image That’s a little colder and a little drier!

Mood meter = :=( It’s Monday and it came around very quickly.
