So, as is usual when you’re running early, everything just goes swimmingly and I am sat in Dunn Bros. Coffee shop (used to be a Starbucks) on 7th in downtown St Paul, MN. If everything was running late nothing would go right I am sure.

Picked up the car from the airport and I am sure cousins (once removed) Karl will be pleased with my choice of a Ford Escape! He’s a Ford man through and through.

Since we left on Thursday things have been a little hectic with a shopping day on Friday and a trip up to the lake on Saturday (see below), then it was back to Linda’s house on Sunday ready for us all to go out to dinner for Jo and I’s anniversary. I, of course had not managed to get anything for Jo but she had somehow managed to get the year off my blog and into print which was really pretty neat seeing all that I write in print. It really is a pretty thick paperback book!

It was however no long partying as I had to be up this morning at 4:30am to get a ride with Karl to the airport on his way to work.

The format for the next few days is work at the River Center in Downtown St Paul, but with the car I will be returning to Linda’s each night which will be certainly a little more relaxing and likely less alcohol fuelled!

Watched a couple of Twins games over the weekend. They seem to be on a bit of a run at the minute with something like nine unbeaten in their new stadium at Target Field. It sure would have been nice to have picked up a game there as I have done quite a few stadiums and certainly had done the old Metrodome. In fact I have done the old stadium in San Diego, Yankee Stadium in New York, Metrodome in Minneapolis, all of which are no more and have replacements I have yet to do! Should be fun trying.

Managed to speak to Lindsay at home yesterday and everything appears fine there so that was at least a comfort.

Anyhow, need to start my short work week…

On this day in history and last year… mmm. there wasn’t a post this day last year…was i still drunk?
