This invokes the Microsoft Information
Rights Manager (IRM) (You must download and
install this before being able to use these
options and whilst at time of writing there was
a free trial, the service carries a charge
beyond this. The basic objective of IRM is to
restrict the ability of certain users changing
the document, or even, in some circumstances
opening it, unless they are on an 'approved
list'. The system in Excel is hosted on
Microsoft servers', but could equally be an
in-house IRM. |
