Worksheet

Inserts an new worksheet to the left of the currently selected sheet with a name incremented from the last 'generic' sheet, e.g. Sheet4, Sheet5. You can add more than one sheet at a time by 'grouping' the sheets. To do this, click on a sheet tab, hold down shift and click on another one, say two to the right and having three sheets selected will result in three sheets being added to the left of the left-most selected. If you find yourself adding many sheets each time, you may be better to increase the 'default' number under Tools>Options...>General>Sheets in new workbook. There are some special sheets which can be inserted, Chart sheet, Dialog sheet, Macro sheet, International Macro sheet, but these cannot be added from this option. To do this, right-click on a sheet tab and select 'insert' and select these types from there. Apart from Chart sheets, the other types are only supplied for backward compatibility with old versions. (Up to Excel 95).

Sub InsertWorksheet()
'Inserts three worksheets before the first one
Worksheets.Add Before:=Worksheets(1), Count:=3
End Subub
