New! Excel User Group Now Open @ www.excelusergroup.org, Check It Out!

This page is dedicated to all things 'UKCentric'.  Often there are topics, unique to this market (coincidentally where I live), that are inadequately covered in help or some of the 'USCentric' forums and websites.

Latter versions of Excel (XP & 2003) now handle locale information far better, but it's not just that.  Where do you go to find a workbook to calculate APR? (Annual Percentage Rate) or a UK school reading calculator? You just have!

Bear in mind, if you have any suggestions to add to this page, for general interest, (or maybe even some more specific), drop me a line on my email or fill in the feedback form.

UK MacMillan(?) School Reading Calculator

This workbook was developed with the aid of a teacher in Derbyshire.  It takes the actual age of a child and some scores from tests and recalculates their 'reading age' as defined by MacMillan (?). It has full instructions on a sheet in the workbook and makes extensive use of the DATEDIF function and has it's own UDF (User Defined Function). I am interested in re-visiting this model if someone has knowledge it is out of date. (These things do change)
